Snowdon to Aberdovey

We woke up to a rather overcast day but decided to rely on the forecast on the summit of Snowdon and see if we could get tickets on the train. We had tried in 1979 and two years ago to do this supposedly amazing trip but each time the weather was not kind.
Llanberis town
We go to the station and got the last 2 seats despite the Internet saying there were no more seats available.
It is a cog railway due to the steepness of the track.
It was just magnificent scenery. It made you feel very small and insignificant.

After a thoroughly enjoyable train trip we left for our journey down to Aberdovey to catch up with the Richards Clan and Patrick and Margaret. On the way we had a walk up this track to see the waterfalls.
Windscreen shots of some of the beauty on the journey.
It was a wonderful welcome from Eddie, Anthony and Fleur as always. So Sad that Rosemary was not there though. But soon we were enjoying the huge afternoon tea Eddie and Fleur had organised with Margaret and Patrick who had just arrived as well.
After this we walked Margaret and Patrick back to where they were staying at their friend William's. When we arrived he had organised a little wine so we had a nice time chatting in his garden before going back and getting ready for our meal out. A lovely time was had by all.
Sights of Aberdovey on our walk.

We went out to tea with everyone to a very nice restaurant.
